Finally on the market, an articulating rear spring perch for 350Z and 370Z! This kit is the absolute best way to convert your stock rear spring setup into an adjustable performance setup. The ride height adjuster is moved to the under side of the rear control arm for easy adjustment without removing the wheels. The adjuster is made with spring detents to give adjustment reference points and to hold the adjustment in place while the spring is unloaded. Most importantly, the spherical mounted articulating spring perches eliminate the angular influence that the rear control arm has on the spring as the arm swings, allowing your linear race springs to stay linear.
The spring-on-arm location on the stock Z33 and Z34 chassis is great for minimizing shock bind and freeing up room in the rear wheel wells, but it comes with its own problems. As the suspension is compressed and the arm swings upward, the locating angles of the upper and lower spring faces change. This results in the spring loading unevenly and, therefore in a non-linear fashion; meaning that your carefully chosen spring rates aren’t doing what they’re calculated to do. This dual articulating perch system eliminates that problem entirely and allows linear race springs to work in their free state, resulting in a more planted and predictable back-end of your competition Z car. In addition, the ease of the single hex under-body adjustment is a welcome change over other ride height systems on the market often require wheel removal and clumsy spanners. If you are looking for quality rear ride height adjusters for your Z build, look no further.
Note: Drilling of the rear control arm is required for installation. Hole saw and installation instructions are included. Currently legal for SCCA Solo STU class competition. Check your rulebook for your specific class compliance.
DIFtech only recommends using this kit with 6″ or 152mm long springs for proper ride height range. This kit includes 65mm spring retainers. Custom diameter sizing available upon request.
